Companions will sit together and have interactions as all of us need a companion to keep ourselves socially active and feel less lonely but due to the limitations of a one-seater couch, companions need to drag a chair to converse or interact with them which limit the physical touch because of the armrest that causing the barrier between them. I decided to create a piece of furniture where companions and the individuals can have the social interaction and bonding together in 1 sofa by re-designing the armrest to be sit-able comfortably for a short period of time.
